What we do
Woodside Wednesdays
We hold regular events to protest the actions of polluters and the government's actions in support of their climate wrecking activities.
We often participate in protests at Woodside every Wednesday (affectionately known as Woodside Wednesdays) to let the company know of our continued disappointment at their actions in the North West of WA.
Parliamentary Meet and Greets
When our WA Parliament is sitting, we regularly meet and greet our MPs as they start their busy days in Parliament. We maintain a presence at Parliament to remind them that they have a duty of care to the residents of WA to protect from harm.
Visiting MPs offices
We make visits to various MP offices to highlight our concerns and encourage them to take action on behalf of their consituents
Raising public awareness
Our Grandparents are also busy responding to climate related submissions for comment, writing letters for publication in various media outlets and lobbying our own MPs and representatives as applicable.
Behind the Scenes
To prepare for our events, we also hold banner painting and planning sessions. A great opportunity to get together and share ideas.

We also hold numerous other actions throughout the year, on our own and in collaboration with other climate action groups. In addition, the Grandparents generally focus on a major event once or twice a year. For example, our major 2024 event entailed some of our Grandparents travelling to Canberra on bicycles to take a 'No More Gas' petition to Federal Parliament.
