Our children and grandchildren face a human-induced climate catastrophe:

We pledge to do all that we can to:
Phase out fossil fuels; the major cause of global heating and:
Promote renewable energy; the promise of a better future.
Our main focus is Western Australia
Because we are the worst polluting state in the worst polluting nation.
We invite you to join our work
And leave our kids a world they deserve.

Our history
We have staged a number events in WA and even interstate. We've also joined with other groups in numerous protests.

GRANDPARENTS DESPERATE CALL TO ACTION
Grandparents for Climate Action are asking you and other environmental protest groups to join us in the first of our new endeavours — a noisy protest with the focus on holding Woodside accountable to their contribution to the cause of the devastating disaster in Nepal. Numbers are incredibly important to making a maximum impact.
There has never been a more urgent time for ramping up action against climate polluting corporations and the governments they have captured.
- 35,000 have died from heat stress from record-breaking heat waves in Europe and elsewhere.
- Thousands have died in the Nepalese flood, with more flooding threatening.
- Next year is predicted to be the hottest year globally on record.
- Wildfires are raging in one of our nearest neighbours and will almost certainly occur with unprecedented fury in Australia this summer.
- Starvation is becoming widespread in the poorest of nations as a result of climate related famine.
- The Nepalese government and those of our nearby Pacific nations (the least polluting of countries) are pleading to the wealthier (the most polluting) to urgently stop fossil fuel pollution and avert their existential crisis.

WE CAN NO LONGER JUST HOPE OUR CARBON POLLUTERS AND THEIR CAPTIVE GOVERNMENTS
WILL SEE REASON AND ACT FOR OUR CHILDRENS FUTURE

Groups We Work With
The Grandparents often join forces with other like-minded groups focused on various aspects of climate action. We are also proud to stand with First Nations people in their fight to protect the environment.
Drummers for Climate Action and the Voices for Climate Collective
The WA Grandparents acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we live, meet and work. We wish to pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging. We recognise first nations continuous connection, spiritual relations and guardianship of country. Their land was never ceded.
